How & when to vote
Everything you need to make your voice count in the election. Make your plan, vote early, and vote Yes on Niwot incorporation.
How to vote
Colorado votes by mail. Every registered voter in Boulder County is mailed a ballot — no need to request one. Fill it out at home, sign the return envelope, and return it by mail (postage paid) or drop it in any Boulder County ballot drop box. Not registered, or need to update your address? You can register and vote in person at any Boulder County vote center, including on Election Day.
When to vote
Ballots mail to voters starting the week of October 9, 2026. Return your ballot as early as you can — don't wait for Election Day. Mailed ballots should be sent at least a week before November 3 to be sure they arrive on time; after that, use a drop box. All ballots must be received (not just postmarked) by 7:00 PM on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
