Privacy & funding transparency
How we handle your information — and how we’re funded.
Niwot Together is a volunteer campaign asking you to sign up, pledge, and vote. Here is plainly what we collect when you do, how we use it, and how this campaign is paid for.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us through the forms on this site: your name and email when you capture your email or pledge to vote; your contact details and interests when you sign up to volunteer; and your name, affiliation, and statement when you submit an endorsement.
We never collect or store payment-card data. This site does not process any card numbers, and no card information is ever transmitted to or stored by us. Donations are handled entirely off-site by our payment processor once that feature is live (see funding transparency below).
The site is cookieless — we set no tracking or advertising cookies. Any analytics we use are privacy-first, aggregate, and collect no personal information.
How we use it
We use your information to run the campaign: to send you updates about the incorporation vote, to coordinate volunteer efforts, to record and display endorsements you have agreed to share, and to comply with Colorado campaign-finance reporting where the law requires it.
We do not use your information for any purpose you did not sign up for.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with the Niwot Incorporation Committee or any other organization for their own use. We share data only with the service providers who help us operate this site (for example, email delivery and hosting), and only to the extent needed to provide that service, or when disclosure is required by Colorado campaign-finance law or other legal obligation.
Retention & your choices
We keep your information for as long as the campaign is active and as long as Colorado campaign-finance record-keeping rules require, and then we delete it.
You can opt out at any time: every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can email us to ask us to correct or delete the information you have given us.
Funding transparency
Paid for by Niwot Together, a Colorado ballot-issue committee. We register and report our contributions and expenditures as required of a Colorado issue committee.
Niwot Together is the ballot-measure advocacy campaign. It is a separate organization from the Niwot Incorporation Committee (the nonprofit): we share no funds, financial accounts, donor records, or coordinated messaging. This firewall keeps the campaign’s advocacy walled off from the Committee’s work.
When donations go live, they will be processed by our payment provider (Stripe) on a dedicated campaign account that belongs to Niwot Together alone — never shared with the Committee. As stated above, no payment-card data is ever collected or stored by this site.
